Become a Youtuber Guide

How to get more views per video

Quick answer

Views come from uploading into a category the game is currently pushing, with a specific title and a readable thumbnail — and from answering comments before you film again. Two flops means change one variable, not five.

Views in Become a Youtuber! are decided by three things you control and one you do not. Category, title and thumbnail are yours; the trend rotation is the game's. Players who fight all four at once stall, and players who ride them grow fast.

What the game rewards

Your inputWhy it matters
CategoryTrending categories get a view multiplier. Uploading into a cold one wastes a slot.
TitleSpecific, curiosity-shaped titles pull more views than vague ones.
ThumbnailA readable thumbnail at small size is worth more than a clever one.
TimingUploading right after a trend starts is worth far more than joining late.

The trend layer is the one that catches people out. The game rotates which categories are hot, sometimes mid-session, and a viral popup on one video is often the game telling you the whole lane is hot — not just that video.

The upload cycle, and where views get lost

  1. Recording — a few seconds at your desk, gear improves the outcome.
  2. Rendering — the wait before a video is publishable.
  3. Upload cooldown — 15 seconds by default, 6 with the Fast Render pass.
  4. Views roll in — ad revenue pays per view as they land.

Views get lost in two places: uploading into a dead category, and letting the cooldown finish with nothing queued. The first is a judgement error, the second is just leaving money on the floor.

What to do when a video flops

Do not change four things at once. Change one:

  • Keep the category, change the title. If views triple, the category was fine.
  • Keep the title, change the category. If views collapse, the trend died while you were filming.
  • If both flop twice in a row, drop the niche and take the trendiest category available.

Two flops is data. Five flops is a habit.

Riding a viral video

When something climbs fast, the correct play is not to admire it:

  1. Upload again immediately in the same lane. Trends are short.
  2. Reply to the comments on the viral video first. That is where your new viewers are.
  3. Claim any boost you have and put it on the climbing video — see the daily rewards page.
  4. Do not spend the money yet. Upgrade tiers are cheaper between trends.

The parts that are not about views

Views are half the game. Subscribers are the other half, and they convert on different things — replies, live streams, collabs and milestones. If your views are healthy and your subs are not, the problem is in the subscribers guide, and the fix usually starts with answering comments.

Quick view-lift checklist

  • Trending category before every upload
  • Title written for a stranger, not for you
  • Thumbnail readable at thumbnail size
  • Comments answered in the same cycle
  • Next video filmed before the cooldown ends
  • Boost saved for a video that is already climbing

Work through those six and your views-per-upload number will do the rest.
